Who We Are

Closeddefense Heating & Air is a referral service for homeowners with a heating or cooling problem. We connect you with independent local HVAC providers. We do not do the repair or installation ourselves.

Why This Site Exists

Searching for help while your home is too hot or too cold is stressful. Pages of listings are hard to sort. Closeddefense Heating & Air cuts that down. You describe the issue, request an estimate, and get matched. Less searching, more cooling.

First, Next, Then: How Matching Works

1. First, tell us what is happening. Include the type of system and any signs, such as noise, odd smells or no airflow. 2. Next, request an estimate. This is an invitation to talk, with no obligation. 3. Then, an independent provider in our network reaches out to you about the job.

Availability depends on the provider. Some can respond quickly, and others may need to schedule a visit.

What We Ask of Providers

Providers in our network are independent businesses. We ask them to:

  • Explain the problem in plain words
  • Give a written quote before work starts
  • Treat your home with care
  • Handle any licensing or permits their local work requires

Each provider is responsible for its own work, pricing and paperwork.

What We Do Not Do

  • We do not perform repairs, installs or maintenance.
  • We do not set provider prices.
  • We do not decide whether your insurance applies. Some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.
  • We do not replace your own judgment. Compare quotes and ask questions.

How We Are Paid

Homeowners are not charged by Closeddefense Heating & Air for the connection. Providers in our network may pay for the homeowner calls and requests we pass along. Your final price is set between you and the provider, so get it in writing.

After the Repair

A fixed system is only half the story. We encourage homeowners to ask each provider about upkeep, such as clean filters, clear condensate drains, a yearly tune-up and a simple record of past service. Fix it, then protect it. In the New York area, where winters are hard and homes are often older, that habit pays off.
